David Ourisman, PhD, is a dynamic individual with a rich tapestry of experience. As a retired United Methodist minister with a graduate degree in Preaching and the New Testament, he dedicated 17 years to pastoral ministry work, guiding and inspiring congregations. Also a past faculty member of the Pacific School of Religion and Vancouver School of Theology, he continues to share his knowledge through teaching and guest speaking in theological and secular settings.

Drawing on his background, Dr. Ourisman has authored two books. His first was written for clergy and theologians, his second, “One Life, Four Stories,” was written for anyone interested in exploring the gospels in a new light.

Beyond his spiritual and academic pursuits, David is a passionate traveler, photographer and the founder of a successful travel agency in business for more than 20 years. He currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with his wife Claire, where he enjoys living next to the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, exploring waterfalls, traveling the world and landscape photography.
